This is a 6 year Willett Family Estate bourbon that was sold at the giftshop some time ago. It’s bottled at 59.9% ABV.
Nose: Vanilla with heavy citrus, freshly sawn oak, overall strong herbal notes with some black pepper
Palate: Vanilla & sweet mash up front with dry oak scented with lavendar and rosemary
Finish: Heat fades quickly leaving vanilla and sugar cookies with a bit of dry oak that carries on
Rating: 87/100 – Very good for it’s young age – classic bourbon profile and a relatively easy drinker.
Value for the money: Not sure what this originally retailed for, but I’d be happy to pay around $50-$60 for this expression.
