This is a 23 year peated Jura that was matured in an ex-bourbon cask and bottled at 58.5%.
Nose: Salty, muted fruits, banana chips, earthy and subtle peat.
Palate: Grassy malt with subtle peat.
Finish: Earthy and bitter with more grassy malt.
Rating: 85/100 – Interesting profile – a gentle peated dram.
Value for the money: This retailed for $99 which I think is a solid price.
