This is part of the Glenmorangie core range of expressions. It’s a NAS bottling distilled with some chocolate malt (heavily roasted malt) and bottled at 46% ABV.
Nose: Strong citrus notes up front – fresh squeezed orange juice and grapefruits. Young oak with a dash of cocoa.
Palate: Bright barley wrapped in blood orange and almond butter. Rich but delicate.
Finish: Citrus lingers with mild oak – slightly dry but tangy.
Value for the money: These retail for close to $200, and they would be better suited around $100-$130 in my opinion.
