This is a discontinued 15 year expression from Glenmorangie that was bottled at 43% ABV.
Nose: Salty and barley notes up front. Less fruity than typical Glenmorangie profile. Strong sun-dried hay notes.
Palate: Briny with peach and apricots. Grassy with damp cardboard.
Finish: Soft vanilla and oak fading to peaches and cream.
Rating: 85/100 – Similar to Glenmorange 10 to me but slightly better with a little more funk.
Value for the money: I got this for around $100, but since it’s discontinued, the prices could be all over. In retrospect, I wouldn’t pay anything over $80 for this.
