Glengoyne 21 Review

This expression is part of Glengoyne’s core lineup which is matured in first-fill sherry casks and bottled at 43% ABV.

Nose: Big, sweeping sherry notes full of gunflint and slate up front developing into cherry, pineapple, prunes, toffee, and banana bread.

Palate: Very sweet sherry on entry with a tart pineapple coming through nicely followed by raisins, chalky slate, and peppery oak.

Finish: Creamy vanilla and bittersweet sherry – fairly dialed down from the palate.

Rating: 87/100 – A very nice sherry-bomb – would love to taste this at a higher proof.

Value for the money: These look to retail around $125-$135 which is a pretty decent price for what you get.
