This is the recently discontinued 15 year expression from Glendronach’s core range. It’s matured in Oloroso casks and bottled at 46% ABV.
Nose: Maraschino cherries with strong sherry notes, fresh vanilla, and mascarpone.
Palate: Bloor orange and french oak topped with big sherry influence ands spiced malt.
Finish: Dry, sherried oak with subtle fruits and toffee.
Rating: 85/100 – A simple, but enjoyable sherried malt.
Value for the money: These retailed around $70 which is a bit high in my opinon, but people were snapping them up due to them being discontinued for the time being.
