This is a Four Roses OESK single barrel that was selected by Liquor Barn. It’s 10 years and 3 months old and bottled at 55.7% ABV.
Nose: Brown sugar, molasses, an odd root vegetable note with strong cinnamon and barrel char.
Palate: Strong oak up front with heavy spices, vanilla, and a slightly herbal profile.
Finish: Dry with heavy oak and a bit of berries.
Value for the money: These barrel picks usually range between $50-$60 and are some of the best buys in bourbon currently. I don’t think I’d buy this particular bottle again though.
