This is a Four Roses OBSV single barrel that was selected by Liquor Locker. It’s aged for 10 years and 100 months and bottled at 57.4% ABV.
Nose: Green apple, ginger, caramel, and oak. Very diverse and complex nose with rye emerging after a few minutes.
Palate: Tart fruits with plenty of rye and oak. Banana taffy and cinnamon swirl.
Finish: Spicy – great mix of oak and rye supported by bananas, cherries, and vanilla.
Rating: 91/100 – One of the best Four Roses Single Barrels I’ve had.
Value for the money: These barrel picks usually range between $50-$60 and are some of the best buys in bourbon currently.
