This is a 10 year Four Roses OBSO Single Barrel that was selected by BevMo and bottled at 53.9% ABV.
Nose: Bananas, berries, cardamom, creme brulee, very sweet/dessert like nose overall.
Palate: Nutty and sweet up front with heavily spiced oak following. Turns slightly floral with a hint of vanilla over time.
Finish: Black cherry, pepper, oak, long overall with vanilla and banana cream pie.
Rating: 91/100 – One of the better FR Single Barrels I’ve had – delivers on all levels.
Value for the money: Four Roses Single Barrel picks are probably the best value in the bourbon world currently. They’re an easy buy at $60 or less.
