Bruichladdich 22 Calvados Cask Review

This is a 22 year Bruichladdich single barrel Micro Provenance selection by Spec’s. It was finished in a Calvados cask before being bottled at 49%.

Nose: Honeyed malt with cinnamon and apple juice. Briny oak with a hint of smoke and ginger.

Palate: Brown sugar and baked apples. French vanilla and black pepper.

Finish: Long lasting with vanilla, oak, and a tangy apple malt.

Rating: 94/100 – Fantastic pour – one of my favorite Bruichladdichs. I’d love to try more Calvados finished malts in the future.

Value for the money: Retail was $189, and I’d be happy to buy one at that price.
