Arran Napoleon Cognac Finish Review

This is an Arran malt finished in a cognac cask from A. Hardy and bottled at 57.8% ABV.

Nose: Dry, brittle oak rubbed with mustard and cumin. Muddled malt with a distinct heather note.

Palate: Floral and spicy malt with the heather still present. A dollop of honey with ginger and grass.

Finish: Dry and crisp with sour oak and black pepper.

Rating: 82/100 – A bit strange but the cognac cask adds some interesting notes.

Value for the money: These go for around $80, but I wouldn’t buy one over $50.
