Ardbeg Corryvreckan Review

This is part of Ardbeg’s core range of expressions that originally came out to replace the Airigh Nam Beist. It’s a NAS expression that is bottled at 57.1% ABV.

Nose: Very earthy and peaty, heavy smoked meats, brine, damp seaweed.

Palate: Very burnt hamburger bits with heavy peat and decomposing oak – smoked fish note in the background.

Finish: Peat lingers on with carbon notes turning to a smooth charcoal

Rating: 87/100 – Classic islay full of massive peat and smoke

Value for the money: These retail for $70-$80 which I think is a pretty fair price.
