Abraham Bowman 18 Year Review

This is a giftshop release from a couple years back that was aged for 18 years and bottled at a hefty 69.3% ABV.

Nose: Big, bold nose with fresh oak, brown sugar, vanilla, and red delicious apples

Palate: Heat is fairly staggering at first, but plenty of sweet vanilla/caramel backing it up. Strong tobacco influence – reminds of me of a George T. Stagg profile.

Finish: Heat fades to a degree allowing some creamed corn, barrel char and pepper to surface

Rating: 91/100 – Very similar to a George T. Stagg if you like that sort of profile.

Value for the money: These sell for $500+, but I’d be a consumer at $100-$120 for this bottle.
